Where can I ride close to Halifax?

There’s great riding all over the province. From Antigonish to the Annapolis Valley and soon, to Cape Breton, trail networks abound. Within an hour or so of the downtown however, you can visit.

3. Can I rent a bike Halifax?

Usually… Check in with both Cyclesmith on Agricola Street and I ‘heart’ bikes on the waterfront. In non-pandemic circumstances, they have traditionally rented high quality full suspension bikes.

guide or instructor in Halifax?

Ride East provides certified mountain bike instruction in HRM.

5. What are the best kid/family-friendly trails to ride?

The green terrain at the McIntosh Run trails offers great options. Clark Kent, Nora and Warren. Shubie Park in Dartmouth offers crushed gravel-style trails and hosts an incredible paved pumptrack. The Links at Brunello is also a good option for a diverse selection of singletrack and includes a skills park. It’s small but can offer fun for the whole family. Fee is required.
